Prior to beginning your first personal training session, we will have a complimentary consultation. During the consultation, we will review and define your goals, and I will conduct your assessment. The assessment results will be used to design your individualized personal training program.
Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
The FMS is an assessment tool comprised of 7 basic movements that assess joint and muscle mobility and stability throughout the body. I will score your movements and go over your results with you. By doing this I will be able to identify any imbalances and/or asymmetries that may exist in your body.
This assessment will provide an objective baseline of your current level of physical fitness. It allows me to design an exercise program that is tailored to your specific needs that is safe and effective.
The fitness assessment can include:
- Body composition testing (body fat percentage, BMI and girth/circumference measurements)
- Evaluation of physical competence and conditioning, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, stability, and dynamic mobility (posture, gait, and movement efficiency)
- Assessment of risk and lifestyle factors (blood pressure, resting heart rate, health and nutrition history, etc.)
